Interviewing A North Korean Hacker
I woke up today to read a very interesting threat on twitter by Jon Wu where he recounts a disconcerting experience with a job applicant that left him shaken.
For those who don’t know is a very well established figure in the Crypto/DeFi ecosystem, and is currently in charge of growth at Aztec, a privacy L2 for Ethereum.

Although as Jon concludes we may never know if the applicant (Bobby Sierra) was a NK Hacker or just a BS applicant, there does seem to be a lot suggesting the former.
With the way NK Hacking organisations have been targeting major networks, prominent figure heads, and taking winnings by the tens of millions, it wouldn’t be a far stretch to believe.
One thing is certain, I believe the most important line of Jon’s entire thread is this:
Terrifying, hilarious, and a reminder to be paranoid and triple-check your OpSec practices.
There is far too much to lose to be unsure of your digital, and physical safety. We will be releasing a number of OpSec resources over the coming weeks to help in the efforts of keeping us all safe.
